GUN SAFETY PUBLIC HEALTH LEGISLATION ON THE AGENDA

There will be a hearing at the Rockland County Legislature on the gun safety bill that our legislator candidates ran on.

The bill would require the posting in gun stores of warnings that having a firearm in the home increases the risk of suicide, homicide or accidental death.

If the bill passes, we will be just the third county in New York State to tackle gun violence as a public health issue after Westchester and Albany. 

It would be great to fill the room and show both the majority and minority there’s support for this action and for legislative advocacy on this and other progressive issues. We hope to see you there!
