Shared Legacies Film Screening
MAY 11 @ 5:30 PM EDT
Featuring Holocaust Survivors and Civil Rights leaders, Shared Legacies reminds us of the deep connections between Jews and African Americans. Foundations built upon shared historical experiences of exile, slavery, and persecution across generations fostered a mutual drive to secure civil rights for all Americans. They marched side-by-side, spoke at each other’s congregations, and organized with common goals.
Time and politics have faded the memory of this crucial relationship; now is the time to revive it.
